Sadly, these invaluable treasures being mismanaged through various anthropogenic pressures like land encroachment, excessive extraction of forest products, rapid urbanization, industrialization, and other developmental activities.
Due to ignorance on the early alarm on contamination and environmental damage offered by modern 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G generation. Reconstructing of the damaged natural ecosystem, now it becomes a serious concern than ever before.
By understanding the necessity to bring an attitudinal change in the younger generation, GASYM initiated 'Student's Participation in Agriculture and Caring Environment (SPACE)' program with the aim of restricting further environmental damage. SPACE is an eco-centric event which mainly focused on educating the student community to understand the environment, agriculture, flora, fauna, and ecosystem as a whole through its inter-linked behavioral pattern. We mainly motivate our participants on the importance of biodiversity and its conservation; challenges and opportunities for them to explore as a career; and as a responsible citizen how they can be a part in the conservation of nature and natural resources. In addition, SPACE also focused to impart knowledge on understanding the challenges of plant pathogens and their effects on food production; and to offer biological to solutions sustainable management.
SPACE centered on young minds, especially to motivate the students about the environment, agriculture and to improve the quality of ecosystem by providing the interactive platform with Scientists, Environmentalists, and Professionals to exchange their knowledge on various issues related to sustainable management. In turn this helps the participants to develop the skills and to take up the responsibility of maintaining the quality of the environment.
